Welcome to the Boehm Child Development Center. We are a year round facility, our hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. The Boehm Center is currently located at the Palm Desert Oasis Seventh-Day Adventist Church property along with Desert Adventist Academy. Our purpose is to care for and educate young children by providing a home like setting to create a sense of warmth and security while implementing Pinnacle and Handwriting Without Tears approach to learning. We also provide a Christian culture which produces children who are well versed in honesty, respect, responsibility, caring and citizenship through Cradle Roll and character development curriculum. We will meet the needs of your child by providing a loving, safe, nurturing, and academic environment for all children. We respect differing cultures, lifestyles, abilities, and learning styles.
Mission Statement
Dr. Charlotte Boehm
Pediatric Physician
May 10, 1990 - Novemeber 16, 1997
Charlotte Boehm, M.D., was born of German immigrants. Her family moved to Russia before her birth where they experienced many hardships. To escape, the Boehm family fled to America, hungry and nearly penniless, but with a great vision for the future. The values which shaped Dr. Boehm's life were born in the early years of the 20th century on American farm land. Because her values were shaped in "The university of hard knocks", she prized character, and diligence above money. The purpose of money was to "Replicate itself" and "Accomplish good". She desired to support traditional values and a strong worth ethic.
Her life was a life of dedication to children. From her pediatric medical practice in San Francisco, she was well known for dispensing not only healing but loving care from 1928 - 1965 and in Corona from 1965 until her retirement.
Dr. Boehm established this Child Development Center during her lifetime with a one time gift to the Palm Desert Oasis Seventh-Day Adventist Church. It was her desire to carry forward her vision of shaping "Strong families" by nurturing children with good character qualities which would enable them to be capable of strong communities to God, Community, and Country.
*Boehm is a 501(c)(3) non-profit child development center. The Center is open to all children without regard to their race, color, religion, national origin or gender.*
